Amore Events Co. is an award-winning, full-service wedding planning and design company. Co-owners, Kara Stutzman & Brianna Sumey acquired Amore Events in 2019. Prior to that time, they excelled in the wedding industry working for one of the nation’s fastest growing private companies in the country. Leading the sales team for weddings and events; this dynamic duo has no lack of experience when it comes to luxury hospitality. Both have attained leadership positions in event sales, public relations, food & beverage, as well as hotel & venue operations. Now, producing a signature of their own, it it an honor to serve couples with an authentic approach.

WHAT WE DO

When you think of a wedding or event planner you may think of the glamorous parts; an abundance of flowers, candlelight everywhere, gorgeous place settings... The Planner swiftly balancing in heels, whispering into an earpiece… just like The Wedding Planner movie.

All of that is sort of true. But with that, comes a wealth of knowledge from our experience. Ultimately, a Planner is a luxury. With us, you are investing in a team who has dedicated their life’s work to planning and producing Weddings.

Our ethos is simple - elevated in ambiance but with a familiarity and warmth.

We believe every wedding we create is unique. We strive to make a friendly, supportive, and respectful atmosphere for all couples. Our planning style reflects this. We understand that it's essential for our couples and their loved ones to feel relaxed, be fully present, and cherish these moments. We are here for you throughout the process, knowing that it can be emotional and sometimes stressful. We get it!

Kara

Sleeping in. An Aperol Spritz made just right. The Beach: any beach, any time. Spending time with loved ones and holding them close.

Loves

Strengths: Being compassionate. I embrace my emotions and am always ready for a hug.

Asking all the questions. I like thinking through the logistics as a whole and making sure they are sound. Nothing brings me more joy than a smooth timeline.

Weaknesses: Chips & Salsa. Triple checking myself when I’ve already double checked myself.

Favorite part of wedding planning: When we get to meet our couples in person to create their timeline and design details. There is nothing sweeter than telling our couples, “We are 90% done with planning!”

Favorite part of the wedding day: Seeing our couple’s reaction to their room reveal; many months of their hard work coming to fruition.

Bri

Loves

Strengths: I am a Cancer through and through. I love hard, work hard, and try to bring a lightness to heavy situations.

Weaknesses: Another cup of tea. A beige toned color palette. Obsessing over items to be “just so.” If there is a way to improve something with a simple adjustment… I will be adjusting.

Favorite part of planning: When couples really begin to trust us and the process. Every couple we work with is so different. When we get to that sweet spot where it is all clicking, and they know that support is unwavering; gosh, it’s the absolute best feeling to serve them.

Favorite part of the wedding day: The invite into dinner. It is so easy to lose sight of why weddings are truly important. Getting to see the reactions of all these people being in one space is magical. The gasps, the hugs, the smiles – it’s beyond heartwarming.
